Whistleblower protections retrospective only to a "limited extent"

Employees aren't protected under strengthened whistleblower protections for detriment they suffered before the current laws came into effect, a full Federal Court has affirmed.

The bench found that while the 2019 whistleblower amendments to the Commonwealth Corporations Act had "some" retrospective operation, this was "to a limited extent".
