"Uncaring" response to WFH request didn't force manager to resign

An employer's "poor and uninformed" response to a pregnant manager's working-from-home request did not amount to a constructive dismissal, the Fair Work Commission has found.

Commissioner Nicholas Wilson said Mag Apprenticeships' refusal of the national operations manager's request to work from home one day per week might have had "consequences" for the company if the case had proceeded further.

But the Commissioner ultimately upheld the employer's jurisdictional objection to facing the manager's general protections application, finding it hadn't dismissed her...
