Strong CEO and HR relationships require a common understanding of the company's culture, and the best partnerships are grounded in trust, a chief people officer says.
Across most organisations, these relationships have evolved and improved in recent years due to a clearer understanding of what culture can do for a business, Culture Amp CPO Edweena Stratton tells HR Daily.
"CEOS are caring a lot more about culture, which has made the CPO role much more front and centre," she says. Previously, however, "it was quite common for people matters and strategy to be completely outsourced to HR... it was something you didn't need to worry about to drive business results".
Now, "people have realised the magic" and are acknowledging that having an "incredible culture" does in fact attract and drive business results, Stratton says...
