Small adjustments move DEI beyond "state of inertia"

Employers are overlooking some simple ways to make their recruitment processes more accessible to marginalised candidates, according to representatives from four different organisations.

At a recent event hosted by Levyl on 'building diversity', host and founder Sarah Bolitho highlighted where the gaps are regarding hiring diverse employees.

"In speaking to our network, and the D&I leaders that we work with, there seems to be a constant state of inertia," she says.

"Organisations are investing in D&I headcount, pulling together strategic targets to do better, and there's a lot of box checking. But overall, there's a big gap between intent and practice..."
