"Quirky" humour and disabilities didn't excuse manager's behaviour

A manager has claimed his "quirky sense of humour and disabilities" were mitigating factors for his inappropriate behaviour towards female staff, but a commission says his employer was entitled to find it was misconduct.

In September 2021, Queensland Corrective Services received complaints from four female workers regarding a Capricornia Correctional Centre manager's behaviour.

An investigation found the manager had behaved inappropriately, and in February last year the employer suspended him and invited him to show cause regarding its allegations...
