No reason for ER manager to face claim after "simply dealing with complaints"

An ER manager and four other employees accused of sexually harassing and/or discriminating against a doctor have avoided being joined into his claim against his employer.

The Austin Health doctor is arguing before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) that he has been discriminated against on the basis of his sex and employment activity, and subjected to sexual harassment.

After lodging his initial application against his employer, the doctor then moved to extend it to include five current or previous Austin Health employees: a nurse, two other doctors, the ER manager and a consultant tasked with investigating his claims internally.

The doctor alleges that each of these people sexually harassed and/or discriminated against him over a period of months or years because he was a man and because he had made complaints...
