An HR leader has been commended for her approach to disciplining a senior employee accused of inappropriate workplace behaviour, with a commission finding she "painstakingly" outlined the reasons for her decision.
Queensland Industrial Relations Commissioner Roslyn McLennan said the HR leader's correspondence was "direct" in its language and tone, but it was not offensive, as the employee claimed.
Her "comprehensive reasoning" was of a "very high standard", the Industrial Commissioner said, which was "commendable, as it enabled [the employee] to understand why [she] found some allegations against him to be substantiated and others not"...
