Two employees who breached their employment contracts by discussing a colleague's new salary have won maximum compensation for unfair dismissal, after the Fair Work Commission found their conduct was "not sufficiently serious".
Commissioner Stephen Crawford said the way their employer "presented the severity of what had occurred" made it seem like the employees had "broken into [its] equivalent to a 'Watergate complex', stolen key intellectual property secrets and posted them on WikiLeaks".
