FWC accepts "ring-fencing" eliminates future bullying risk

Two workers have committed to numerous "restrictions" regarding their interactions with an employee of another business, who sought stop-bullying orders because they "made his life hell".

The UAS Pacific drone operator and trainer, who was required to be licensed by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), made a stop-bullying application against a CASA inspector and a manager, alleging they bullied, harassed and intimidated him, and that he "wished to have his 'name cleared'".

He claimed the CASA manager took a "very long time" to approve licences he needed to work for UAS, and that the inspector – who had previously worked for UAS and had an "acrimonious relationship" with its managing director – had said he wasn't a very good pilot...
