Five employees have failed to prove that their manager bullied them, with the Fair Work Commission commenting it is "appropriate to make allowances for some degree of exasperation or tension" in workplace interactions.
The FedEx Australia shift supervisor allegedly yelled at, intimidated, threatened, belittled and abused the five employees, whose stop-bullying applications relied upon more than 50 incidents dating back to 2017.
Most of the incidents centred on the manager asking the employees to "hurry up" and start their deliveries, or commenting to them directly or in toolbox meetings about how they performed their work, including stating words to the effect of: "you should have gone by now, just get on the road"; "why haven't you left yet?"; "why haven't you loaded your truck?"; "your body language is of concern"...
