Case study: Wellbeing culture unlocks performance

It's only after employees have all the tools they need to take care of themselves that they can properly care for colleagues and customers, a managing director says in outlining how his organisation uses wellbeing to unlock business performance.

According to David Ramadge Ebay Australia has a set of "tangible actions" in place to create a healthy workplace, which look after three areas: "physical" (such as providing insurances, gym passes and events); "health and wellbeing" (meditation apps, mindfulness sessions, and a strict rule about no meetings on Monday mornings and at lunchtime); and the "mental and emotional" aspect (generous leave, counselling access).
