Case study: Connecting a remote workforce via employee-led catchup calls

Online catchup meetings that employees take turns to host are building "really critical" engagement and connection at a remote-first organisation, its people and culture leader says.

With the exception of manufacturing staff and some hybrid workers, design and marketing company Vista Australia has been "remote-first" for more than three years now, Chari Hall tells HR Daily.

Among its Australian staff, that amounts to about 150 employees whose default mode of working is now remote.

The initial shift was prompted by the pandemic, but it's now become the preferred way of working for the majority of Vista's office staff.
