"Australia's unluckiest job applicant" loses another discrimination claim

A commission has lambasted an unsuccessful job applicant over his discrimination claims, saying he is "establishing himself to be somewhat of a serial pest".

The candidate claimed recruitment company JM Group Holdings (trading as CBC Staff Selection) and its recruitment manager discriminated against him on the basis of his "Indian" race and his age, arguing they made unlawful requests for information.

The Queensland Industrial Relations Commission heard that in September 2020, the candidate responded to a job ad seeking "expressions of interest" from lawyers to work in Far North Queensland...
