Four 'persuasion types' exist in every workplace

When it comes to persuading others in the workplace, people generally fall into four 'types', a communication expert says.

In her latest book, How to Persuade, speaker, coach and author Michelle Bowden says "we've all got a very different perception of what persuasion really is". It can connote feelings of "charm", "tempt", "negotiation" and sometimes even "manipulation".

Yet, knowing how to persuade effectively "is the single most important skill you can develop to ensure you are competitive in the knowledge economy", Bowden says.
