Employees are sceptical of organisations without a formal work-from-home policy, now that flexibility has gone from being 'nice to have' to 'must have', a workplace advisor says.

One in three employees who are able to work from home say their employers are yet to formalise a work-from-home policy, causing ambiguity around how they might approach work, new Officeworks Flexiworks research has found.

Flexiworks ambassador Dr Ben Hamer says employers' "unwillingness to commit" is the result of fearing they "have to have all the answers" about flexible work now, despite not being certain of the direction their practices might take...
