Sacked employee given "multiple" opportunities to lift performance

An employee who held a "fundamentally different view" of his performance to that of his employer has lost his unfair dismissal claim, with the Fair Work Commission finding he was given "multiple opportunities" to improve.

Deputy President Lyndall Dean found the employer had raised its performance concerns multiple times, and that it would have been "relatively straightforward" for the employee to immediately address at least some of the issues...
