Return-to-office battle "an emotional argument, not a data-driven one"

HR executives who are struggling to convince their CEOs to "get with the times" and embrace new ways of working shouldn't rely on data alone, as the resistance they face might have more to do with emotion, an expert says.

Employers that are issuing return-to-office mandates and resisting digital transformation are engaging in a battle that can't be won, but many seem intent on ignoring the data, Gartner research and advisory vice president Aaron McEwan tells HR Daily.
