Law changes affecting workplace sexual harassment come into effect soon, and they're set to create "additional risks" for employers, a lawyer says.
As previously reported, both the Secure Jobs, Better Pay Bill and the Respect@Work Bill passed through Parliament late last year, with implications for how employers manage workplace sexual harassment risks.
The former laws specifically prohibit sexual harassment in connection with work, aligning the Fair Work Act with sex discrimination laws, and this comes into effect on 6 March.
