Mental health index drops further; three groups hit hardest

Three employee groups are suffering most from the pandemic's emotional impact, with continued strain making mental health recovery more complex, a wellbeing specialist says.

"We all know that [the pandemic has] impacted different people differently, depending on your life situation, who you are, and where you are in life," says LifeWorks global leader of research and total wellbeing, Paula Allen.

According to LifeWorks' January mental health index, Australia's mental health score is currently 11.9 points below its pre-pandemic levels.

Further, scores in all mental health sub-categories declined between December and January, with the overall score dropping 0.6 points...
