Inclusive hiring gives applicants more 'choice-control'

An inclusive hiring system requires much more attention to detail, and it starts with facilitating candidates' 'choice-control' through informative job ads, according to disability recruitment specialists.

The barriers to recruitment for people with disability are actually "quite shocking", The Field business development manager Hamish Swain has told a recent Talent Table briefing.

The fact is the unemployment rate for people with disability hasn't improved in three decades, Swain says. "Now, when you consider all the shifts in technology, culture, language, why is this number unchanging?"...
