EX research calls for better onboarding and offboarding

With so much job-changing in the market, the book-end employee experiences of onboarding and offboarding should be a greater priority for HR, research suggests.

Employers need to focus more on how they "leave the key under the mat" to ensure that people want to come back in the future, says Chad Lawson, general manager at recruitment company U&U, which conducted the research.

Lawson says that businesses have been so focused on "getting people in the door" and retaining them, that they overlook the "book-end experiences" of onboarding and offboarding, but especially the latter...
