Employers urged to "tread carefully" with AI in recruitment

"AI-powered recruitment is a double-edged sword when it comes to workforce diversity," according to a new report that explains how to reduce bias while embracing AI tools.

Diversity Council Australia has now concluded three years of research in partnership with Hudson RPO and Monash University, and today it has launched the final report in this research, setting out a five-step program to reduce bias in AI-based recruitment.

"Unless AI is deployed with a focus on diversity and inclusion it has the potential to mirror society's inequalities and bake in systemic biases," DCA CEO Lisa Annese says.
