Succession planning remains a low priority among Australian employers, despite job mobility hitting a peak this year.
This is bound to become an issue because the post-holiday period is a busy one for resignations. According to previous research by Robert Half, most (54%) of hiring managers surveyed have had an employee resign within one month after returning from holiday – suggesting time off was also spent re-evaluating career options.
The recruitment company's newest research suggests almost one in four employers don't have a succession plan for their executive and senior talent.
And even more (40%) don't have a turnover plan for junior and mid-level talent...
