"Reward and recognition needs a complete overhaul": CHRO

Employers have made a few leaps and bounds in performance management over the past two years, but some surprising areas are still lagging, research shows.

A report by Elmo Software suggests that ineffective performance management is a pain point for many HR professionals, particularly those that still have annual processes.

Lack of consistency between managers and departments is also a major challenge, though this is becoming less so; in 2019, it was an issue for 63% of organisations, whereas in 2021, this figure dropped to 48%.
