It is not enough for organisations to passively reject racism; instead they need to become actively anti-racism, a new report says.
According to Diversity Council Australia's Racism At Work report – which surveyed more than 1,500 workers – only 27% of employees feel their organisations are proactively addressing racism.
In the past year, 50% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees have experienced harassment or discrimination at work, compared to 24% of non-Indigenous workers, it says.
