'Troublesome, dominating and difficult' manager was unfairly sacked

An employer considered numerous complaints before finding a manager was "troublesome, dominating, difficult and possibly demanding", but its dismissal process was "egregious and flawed", the Fair Work Commission has ruled.

In November last year, Pro Help Australia informed the Queensland development manager that it had received reports she had made disrespectful comments about two colleagues.

Despite her denials, the employer said it would conduct an investigation.

A few days later, the manager and one of the colleagues had a heated exchange about a staff member's notebook, which the colleague believed contained negative opinions about the workplace culture...
